820 million people go to bed hungry every night. 697 million people worldwide suffer from severe food insecurity. This means they are so poor that they cannot feed themselves or their families for a full 24 hours due to lack of money. Hunger kills 25,000 people every day. 17 people die of hunger every minute. One person dies of hunger every 4 seconds. The suffering of our brothers and sisters around the world is as evident as ever. Men and women work 12-hour days to provide a handful of food for their families, women struggle to feed their children every day, and children starve as they wonder where their next meal will come from. Poverty is a calamity that God has destined to befall an individual, a community, or an entire country. It is up to you and me to work to solve this problem and help these people survive so that we can remove their hardships and earn God’s favor.

ORPHANS NEED HELP
When any calamity strikes, it’s always the children who are affected the most! Sadly, our Ummah has hundreds of thousands of children who are growing up without one or both of their parents!
Mercy to Humanity are looking after orphans in Turkey, Albania, Jammu and Kashmir, India, Yemen and Palestinian refugees.
For only £50 a month, you can take on the responsibility of providing Food, Water, Shelter, Medicine and Education to a beautiful orphan child, who without your support, would have a very unpredictable future ahead of them.
We all know the hadith of our beloved prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) who lost both of his parents by the age of 6.
The prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) said: “The one who looks after an orphan and myself will be together in Jannah like this” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate!
What an amazing reward! None of us have ever met the prophet (s.a.w.) in person and some of us have seen the prophet (s.a.w.) in our dreams, but just imagine spending time with him in the most beautiful of places: Jannah! That is truly remarkable!.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "A human does no action from the actions on the day of Nahr more beloved to Allah then spilling blood (of sacrificial animals). On the Day of Judgement, it will appear with its horns, and hair, and hooves, and indeed the blood will be accepted by Allah(swt) from where it is received before it even falls upon earth, so let your heart delight in it." (Tirmidhi - 1493)
